Saktec Robotics – What We Built

In the year 2000, my wife María was the Director of Robotic Simulation at Kuka Robotics, the largest robots manufacturer in Europe. Her work allowed us to see how digital manufacturing was increasing flexibility and control of robotic cells.

At Saktec Robotics, we offered robotic simulation services to car manufacturing plants. We started in the year 2000 and were among the first European companies to work with robotic simulation. We built a services company with tech components developed in-house.

We built a small company that offered services to car manufacturing plants mostly in Germany. We started in the year 2000 and were among the first European companies to work with robotic simulation. We grew to a small team of 9, and designed robotic cells for Volkswagen, PSA and Opel.

We invested part of our time to develop software components in-house. These components taught us how tech can increase development speed, and hugely increase revenues.

I was co-founder and CEO, making sure we had (i) a great team with the right tools and processes, and (ii) great clients.

You can watch a video of one of robotic simulations below, and some of the press love we received in this Flickr album.
